Here I am with fellow Leo and mother-in-law, Brenda. What a lovely evening. Irv and Dale cooked up some amazing brats and we were joined by Ericka, Katie, and Kelly. Oh, and cheesecake from City Market for dessert. Ericka and Katie passed. I told them that I’d eat their shares in addition to mine. I only got through Ericka’s. Too full. Sorry Katie.

After Del Taco we took another walk down by the river. This time we went out to the island with the frisbee golf course. Not many people were player but the ones who were sure looked like they were have a great time.
Of course we ran into my favorite mask sculpture again.

Dale and I had lunch today at Del Taco which is a place I’ve wanted to try for a while as it’s one of Franki’s (Lily Tomlin’s character) favorite places to eat on the television show Grace and Frankie. Not bad.

I had the fish tacos with french fries. Dale had the chicken bowl.

After happy hour Dale and Irv cooked up some bone-in chicken thighs for dinner. Delicious.
Irv was out of town when we arrived in Grand Junction. He returned today which meant we could enjoy happy hour with him. I alway love happy hour at Brenda and Irv's house.

Dale and I stopped by the downtown City Market to pick up a few things for dinner. This photo op to promote Hawaiian food was just inside the front doors. I simply had to have a picture. Dale smiled and rolled his eyes when I asked him to do the honors. What a good sport.

Brenda, Dale, and I watched some episodes of Schitt’s Creek. Hysterically funny 😄‼️ Next, happy hour. I had a gin & tonic and Dale had wine 🍷. Brenda made tacos 🌮 for dinner. As she was preparing them the aromas emanating from the kitchen were enticing.

Cloudy morning but at least it’s helping to keep it cool (nearly 100 degrees yesterday).
Dale and I took a very nice walk down by the Colorado River which, by the way, was VERY low. We stumbled upon this sculpture which reminds me of a tiki mask.

When Dale and I arrived at Brenda’s yesterday she told me right away that Irv had told her to remind me that I know exactly where the cocktail shaker and martini glasses are and that I should help myself. He was right. I knew exactly where to find what I needed to make a martini 🍸 happen. Happen it did and it’s happening again tonight‼️ Cheers, Irv! Wish you were here!
