Up at 4 a.m. No problem awakening. We were out the door at 5:03. Brought Athena to Silver Dog yesterday mid-afternoon. As it's been with all of our pets, it was hard to leave her behind. I wonder how she would do on a sunny Mexican beach?

Made it to the Humphrey terminal and experienced no waiting for ticketing or security as we're flying first class. How luxurious. I'm spoiled already. I felt a little guilty bypassing everone in line - but not that guilty.
Dale and I sat in the business seating area as we waited for boarding. We did this only because there were tables and jacks to charge our cell phones. A guy walked up and said to his wife, "Ah, business seating. Here we go." They sat down and after a couple minutes the wife stands up and says, "I'm gonna sit in a more comfortable chair." She walked off without even looking back at him. With our luck I figured her grouchy self would probably be sitting right behind us on the plane. LOL.
When we got on the plane I found the first class seats to be sooo luxurious! They were very spacious and comfy. We boarded first and got to watch all the people in coach shuffle past us as we enjoyed beverages. Again I felt a little guilty and had to remind myself that we were paying an arm and a leg for it all. The comfortable chair lady walked by and she seemed to be in a much better mood. She actually said "hi" with a big smile when the flight attendant greeted her. And no, she did not end up sitting behind us.
Light snow as we headed for de-icing. I think I'd find myself pretending to be Luke Skywalker taking out the Death Star if I had that job. Looked fun. After we took off it was so good to get above the cloud cover and see some sun. Breakfast of a delicious omlette was served. It was great. Again it's so nice to sit in first class.
