Ira had trouble with his truck today. His neighbor Ty drove us to the airport to rent a car until the truck can be serviced. Dale got listed as a driver on the rental so we went to Barnes & Noble for coffee and then to the grocery store to get fixings for dinner tonight. Ira and I are pictured above during happy hour. Ira grilled an amazing piece of pork for dinner. Dale made some awesome sweet potato fries and Brenday made an awesome cucumber mint salad. I just sat back and did a whole bunch of nothing and felt pretty lucky to be with such and awesome crew. Ericka's new dog Calliope is over my shoulder. Her other dog, Suki, is on Irv's lap.

Colorado 2016 - Sign Place
Monday, August 8, 2016
Irv brought the truck in for service this morning. Dale and I followed behind in the rental car so we could bring him back home. Next to the shop I found a place where old signs go.

Colorado 2016 - Denny's
Tuesday, August 9, 2016
Good to see Ericka and Kelly last night. They were both in good spirits. Great breakfast at Denny's this morning with Brenda and Irv. And yes, I had pancakes. Our server had the bottom image on the back of his t-shirt.

Tuesday, August 9, 2016
Brenda and Irv dropped us off at the airport after our breakfast at Denny's. The gate area has a fancy new bar. No, I did not get a drink.

Colorado 2016 - Returning Home
Tuesday, August 9, 2016
Photo taken as we approached Salt Lake City. Odd landscape. Kind of an anti-mountain. Brenda later told me she thought it was some kind of abandoned mining site. We were supposed to have a two hour layover in Salt Lake City but our original flight out was cancelled due to Delta's main office power outage glitch. Thankfully they were able to get us on a later flight which doubled our layover time. In the end we were just happy to make it home without any further delays.
